Online Course "Fundamentals of Project Management"

This course provides a simple way to learn the basic elements of modern project management concepts that are required by international development organizations dedicated to assistance and humanitarian relief. The course is divided in 5 modules:

Each module presents ideas and concepts with the aid of charts and graphics to help increase your understanding. After each module you will have an opportunity to review the main topics with a short test. The course has been designed for no more that 120 minutes. You can take the course and its modules at your own pace, the menu and index can help you move around the course and take each module and each lesson independently. To help you increase your knowledge, many modules include links to documents that  you can open and read at your own time. These documents are in Adobe PDF format.

Access to the free online course starts upon your registration.
Course Materials
Course materials are available for download from the online course module page to allow for printing and review.
Final Exam
Online participants are asked to complete a final exam at the end of the course and submitte a course essay. A completion certificate will be emailed to participants when they pass the evaluation of the essay.
Course Evaluation:
It is required that participants complete the course evaluation once they have passed the final exam.

Online Course "Mastering Project Management"

This course is designed specifically for the project management professional who understands the basic concepts explored in our course Fundamentals of Project Management and is seeking more advanced skills, both process-based and people-based. Including: professionals wishing to upgrade their skills and knowledge,  team members, managers of project managers and students of project management.

This course provides an introduction to the disciplined approaches to development  project management. While development  projects are similar in some ways to other types of projects, they pose unique challenges for the managers and organizations that undertake them.

This course will give students an understanding of the most common processes, tools, techniques, and theories that are necessary to manage development projects. This course examines the defining characteristics of development projects, and introduces the student to a variety of project management techniques that can be applied in a development project context.

Successful completion of all the course requirements will lead to the award of a Certificate of Completion.
